           CROOKED BIRCH
                LAKE HOUSE

A long dock and platform for resting and playing sit along 110 feet of frontage on one of the most picturesque lakes you will ever see. Off the dock is a large swimming area where you can spend countless fun hours and even park a rental boat or jet skis. Better yet, bring your own! You will have access to our two single kayaks and many other water toys, just bring your own water shoes and towels. There is an outdoor shower to get you freshened up after your time in the lake.

This is a full house, not a cottage nor a cabin. A 1988 build, the house offers 4 bedrooms, 2 Β½ bathrooms, sleeping 7-8. The Master Bath and first floor Powder Room have been renovated in the past couple years. First floor laundry, Wi-Fi, two good sized televisions, Amazon Echo, second fridge in the garage, etc.

The kitchen? Did I say the house was a 1988 build? The kitchen is fully functional, a bit dated, and has what you need. Coffee Pots (a percolator and a Keurig), cookware, standard spices, flatware, plates, and bowls, are yours to use. The number of dishwashers equals the number of people you bring. 😊

Air conditioning and heating throughout the house are run via a geothermal unit supplying year-round comfort and affordability. There is a septic system, so please remember to flush only appropriate toilet paper and no other items.

Two upstairs bedrooms are an open loft concept with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Master bedroom is on the first floor along with a bonus bedroom offering an optional trundle bed.

A newer gas grill on the lakeside of the house has plenty of cooking space. Get plenty of wood for the waterfront fire pit! Nights watching the stars along with a bonfire will create wonderful family memories. Did we mention the sunsets?

There are so many things to do in the area. We are less than 20 mins from downtown Traverse City, 15 mins from Suttons Bay, 30 mins from Leland, and about 45 mins from Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. For the adults, 30+ wineries, cideries, and breweries are within 10-40 mins. Traverse City and surrounding cities are known for their great restaurants as well. We will have a book ready for you, listing our favorites for adults and families alike. Yes, we have plenty of good joints serving pizza, including a gas station.

If the kids tire of the lake (God Forbid), just east of downtown TC is Pirates Cove, offering putt-putt golf, go-karts, and the like. Bring the ice skates and head to Centre Arena, where the Red Wings have their training camp. There is a Children’s Museum in town as well, for all ages. We will have a myriad of ideas for you, prior to or on arrival, or both.

There are very, very few rentals on our side of the lake that offer the sleeping arrangements and amenities you will find here. We have priced out those very few and are seeing weekly rates to be in the $8,000 range. We are happy to discount our rates to be able to share our slice of heaven with you. All we ask is you treat our happy place with kindness and replace any items you use.

Rates begin at $600 per night and up.
